Starting the Dance Line

Hello!! Can you believe that tomorrow is February?! Where did January go?! i thought I would start the month off by starting my dance line!! First thing that I am planning on creating is a dance sweater wrap! Trying to decide if I want to knit it or to crochet it......knitting is softer but takes longer (for me at least!!), and crochet is so much easier for me to create a pattern but is not as soft (generally). Any opinions?! I am hoping to make two different patterns...one that is a pull over, and one that ties.  If anyone has any good patterns that they already have that I could look at, let me know!! I have been searching the internet, but cannot find a pattern that I love! 


I am also working on an afghan for a family from Batavia.  It is taking me a long time to do just a few rows.......I am on row 37 of 257!!! Hopefully I can bust it out quickly so that I can focus more on new patterns!!

First Sale!!!

Hello! Been a while since I have posted! I have been busy crocheting more beer koozies and writing out the pattern to be sold on etsy! My sister sent me a link for livingsocial.com that has a beer koozie as the special today....  Maybe it will spark people's interest?! I am hoping to post a listing or two on etsy today and post the pattern later in the week. My mom did a test of my pattern the other day, and there is only one part that is confusing. Hopefully with the pictures I am going to post with it, it will be a lot clearer! If anyone is good at writing patterns, contact me and I will send you the pattern to try! I could use any help I can get!!!

Photos!!

FINALLY! Time to upload some photos! Hope you enjoy them and feel free to comment! I am still working hard at making the beer koozie mittens for my friends when they go ice fishing! As soon as I am finished with that, I will be selling them on etsy in my new store: CraftCrochetMomma. I am also going to try to write out the pattern and sell it! ....I might even try to work out a way to create a convertible beer koozie mitten....you heard it here first people!! Camera cord!

I FOUND MY CAMERA CORD!!! As soon as my munchkin is in bed, I will be uploading a bunch of pictures! I am going to go ahead and upload a bunch of stuff I made for Cameron when he was first born as well as pictures of things I have made recently!! Woohoo!!!! Etsy

Hello!! I have officially made an etsy account....but I have yet to list anything! Anyone have any suggestions on using etsy?! Any tricks, any things to avoid?! Any wording that works best?! My store is CraftyCrochetMomma. I will update here when I actual post something to my store!


In the meantime, I have been working hard on fulfilling some orders for my friends! Beer koozie mittens are my obsession right now! If I ever find the cord to the camera, I will post the pictures (where is that darn cord?!?!?!)  Hope everyone has a great night and talk to you all soon!

First Blog!

Hello!!! Welcome to my blog! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are ready to jump into 2012 with a happy, healthy attitude! I know I am!! Let me introduce myself: My name is Andrea.  I am married to my best friend Mike, we have a beautiful baby boy named Cameron and two dogs, Chloe and Santo.  I am a dance instructor and full time mom. I absolutely love to crochet and knit and have started to come up with my own patterns! I am self taught in crochet, but I get lots of advice from the best crocheter I know, my mother! I learned how to knit in college and had my skills refined by my grandmother, who is incredible! I have made all kinds of things from scarves, hats, and blankets, to stuffed animals and decorations! I have even sent two of my stuffed animals to be included in a gift basket that was being put together for Alicia Keys' new son, Egypt.  That is what jump started my idea of forming my own company and selling the stuffed animals that I make.  As soon as I figure this whole blog thing out...I will begin posting pictures of all of my cute animals and new projects for everyone to see (and if you would like, you can purchase as well! :) ) Please follow me, send my link to all your friends and get ready for some fun creations!!!


The first thing I am going to post is my newest creation: a Beer Koozie Mitten!! A friend sent me the link for a version of this that is being sold in Urban Outfitters and she asked if I would be able to figure it out. An hour and a half later, I totally made one!! Now, my friends all want one for when they go ice fishing this year.  This one is made in a camo yarn, but I could do any color! Let me know if you want to order one! Unfortunately, I have not been able to write out a pattern that makes much sense....if I figure it out, I will post it! Also, I am in the process of setting up an etsy account where you can purchase any of my creations! I will blog it as soon as I have it finally set up!!
